Year of the Snake calendar benefits Friends of Lincoln Square Park

For the past six years, Abacus Row and photographer, Andria Lo, have partnered together to release a Lunar New Year calendar. This year, we are honored and grateful that they have selected Friends of Lincoln Square Park to receive proceeds from calendar sales!

From Abacus Row, “Our Year of the Wood Snake calendar features a decadent Dutch-inspired scene overflowing with wishes for health, resiliency and longevity, as well as wishes for prosperity and good fortune.

A century egg offers a new beginning and longevity on top of chestnuts, plum, reishi mushroom, rose hip, and green oil—each an offering of wellness and good health. The plentifulness of grapes, longan, and pomegranate express abundance and good fortune, as well as wishes for a sweet year and for family blessings. In appearance with persimmons, it reflects the wish for these hopes to emerge from our undertakings in the year ahead. Finally, a strand of jade beads for their believed power to avert any misfortune while ushering in health and good fortune.”

The calendar is available for purchase online. It will also be available in person at the Abacus Row Lunar New Year concept shop, from January 22nd-February 15th. The shop is located at 1256 Mason Street in San Francisco.
