Alumni Spotlight: Janet Lem

For so many people, Lincoln Square Park is the source of some of their fondest memories….memories that transcend generations. Lincoln alum, Janet Lem, was no exception. Janet’s memories of Lincoln began in 1943 when she was a Kindergarten student. She remained an avid supporter of Lincoln Square Park up until her death in 2022. Janet is deeply missed, but her legacy lives on.

The nice thing about these centers and places is you can just walk in. You don’t have to sign in, you don’t have to pay a fee. You just walk in and there you are, taking part. I think that’s what the value of these centers are….There’s always a need for more funds - there’s never enough, really. And if you can help, help. You can come too and be part of it. You can take part in the programs and classes…..lots of classes for adults and children. It’s there for you. You’re not locked out. You are welcome.
