Friends of Lincoln Square Park is committed to exposing our youngest citizens to new opportunities through partnerships and events.
Pickleball has taken our country by storm, and is one of the fastest growing sports. Oakland is no exception - according to The Oaklandside, pickleball is booming. That is why we were excited to host a Pickleball Cares youth clinic on a recent Saturday. Professional coaches helped warm up and train youth from Oakland. For many, it was their first time playing pickleball. Everyone had a lot of fun and were sent home with a goodie bag including a paddle!
This is just one example of how outside partners are helping to supplement park programming by Center staff.
